Menhir & Sherazade

I have worked with – and enjoyed the company of – Menhir and Sherazade several times over the last few years. Their ability to gently nudge you in a new direction that is more in line with what you really want is outstanding. Not only did they help me to become more of myself, but thanks to them I came to enjoy life in such a profound way that just a few years ago I did not even consider possible. I worked with quite a few coaches and teachers over the last 10 years, and in all of Europe I know no one I would recommend more highly than Menhir and Sherazade. Will working with them challenge what you believe about yourself? Probably. Will it be worth it? Always! If you feel ready to make the next step in your life, go and meet them.

In September of 2012 I had an awakening experience. The problem was that I didn’t know it. Nor did I know what to do next. The “game” had changed and life would never quite be the same. Within two months I had been introduced to Menhir and Sherazade and given the opportunity to attend a retreat. The numbers were small and direct interaction with the leaders was possible. Through their help and guidance I was able to recognise my experience and (at least) begin to understand what had happened to me. Since that time I have continued to work with my Italian friends on a journey of discovery and deeper understanding. They speak from the heart and have the ability to recognise exactly what is needed in the moment. Should you have the opportunity to work with them, seize the moment with an open heart.

I’ve been very sceptical before attending my first “retreat”. I had enough of trying different techniques and practices or rituals with religious touch or not and also enough of listening to people that their practices are supposed to be the unique way to find myself or become enlightened. I don’t really like the word “retreat”, as it has a spiritual touch, but in my opinion it’s much more simple on one hand and much more deep on the other hand. it’s just a “gathering” where Sherazad and Menhir and the other attendees help seeing life from a different angle, help getting to know who I really am – with all facettes. The ones I like and the ones I don’t like. The “retreat” is a way to open the heart and eyes and see what is really there, not something somebody has seen or experienced or made up, but to see and experience what exists myself. I have to admit that a “retreat” is not a “holiday”, nor a “getaway”, nor an “escape”, nor “glasses to make everything pretty and easy and relaxed”; on the contrary, it helped me to start seeing more of the essence. It includes re-discovering everything for simply what it is – pleasant or unpleasant, happy or sad, beautiful or ugly. It’s difficult at times to accept that all this is part of life, but I am very greatful having been able to start looking at the universe and at myself from a different angle and I can absolutely recommend a “retreat” with Sherazad and Menhir. I appreciate that Sherazad and Menhir are here to guide and help the “retreat attendees” but not to create a dependency or “followers”. I’m happy to speak to anyone with questions – but mostly just give it a try :)– Christine S.
